CV DPC is coming into reality – after months of preparation and hard work, the doors are ready to open. Despite being all-in on a project for so long, there is still a moment when all the hard work is about to come to fruition and I realize that we are on the cusp of a true new beginning. And it’s perfect that it’s fall.
Fall is my favorite. The cooler weather makes it easier to stay outside for longer periods, the excitement of the holidays is just around the corner, and the whole valley is gearing up for season. The kids are back in school and their full activity schedules. I’m trying to finish up all the summer projects around the house to make room for the new projects coming our way. It’s a good time to stop, take a breath, and take stock of how the year is going and whether we need to make any adjustments.
In all the busyness and excitement of the coming months, will I set aside time for rest and my own health? Will I remember what’s important in the middle of all the urgent? What I know for sure is that we are at the beginning of a great adventure, and together we are building both a practice and a life that is an intentional reflection of what we think is most important, caring for the people in our sphere and treating them with all the value and dignity that they deserve.
